| Description: | Grid Kids is a new series in NZ and is all about having fun and inspiring kids to have a go! Grid Kids Duathlon Series has teamed up with MotorSport New Zealand's premier series providing an opportunity to motivate the children of New Zealand to take part in physical exercise and to be centre stage at the MotorSport NZ V8 Series.
The duathlon is for children aged 7-15 years who will run and cycle (achievable distances dependant on age) on the Taupo Motorsport Park race track on the Sunday before the MotorSport NZ racing starts with prize giving, autographs and meet the drivers after each event. Entrants in the event will receive:
Event t-shirt,
Medal & certificate,
race number and
2 free adult tickets to the Sunday V8 motor racing (there's $60 in value right there!)
At each of the Grid Kids events we will be giving away $500 worth of sports gear to the school with the highest ratio of entrants in the Grid Kids Duathlon compared to their school roll.
